Beginners Cable Armwarmers

So as i'm still learning to master knitting I thought it was about time I tried some cabling.

I could not find a pattern that I wanted to try so I made my own. (Any feedback on it welcome, i have no idea!)

My first pattern and first time cabling!

I used King Cole Moods DK on 4.5mm straight needles

Here it is:

Pattern:

Gauge not important, adjust for the wool your using

CO 54

Row 1: P6 K6 P12 K6 P12 K6 P6
Row 2: K6 P6 K12 P6 K12 P6 K6
Row 3: P6 Slp3 onto cable needle, Knit next 3 stiches, K3 off cable needle P6- repeat 2 more times
Row 4: K6 P6 K12 P6 K12 P6 K6
Row 5: P6 K6 P12 K6 P12 K6 P6
Row 6: K6 P6 K12 P6 K12 P6 K6

Repeat until armwarmers aer as long as you wnat them. I did this 10 or 11 times

Bind off in pattern, and the leave enough yarn to sew sides up, leaving a gap for your thumb!
